This is how you adapt your skincare to spring!

Spring has begun, the sun is starting to shine again and we are leaving winter behind. In the spring, your skin has different needs than it does in the winter, so we're listing a few points you want to look out for when choosing the best skincare for spring and summer.

  • Think about (even more) sun protection!

With the sun getting stronger, it's important to protect your skin from harmful UV rays. Sun protection is an important step in your skincare routine all year round, and even more so in spring and summer. Use a product with SPF every day as the last step in your routine, even on cloudy days. Don't forget to include your neck, décolleté and hands in your sun protection routine!

  • Add antioxidants

Antioxidants such as Vitamin C and Vitamin E help protect the skin from free radical damage caused by factors such as UV rays and air pollution. Add a serum or moisturizer with antioxidants to your routine for added skin protection and repair.

  • Use light, moisturizing products

In winter, full face creams and heavy makeup are often used. In spring and summer, you may want to switch and some lighter face creams and makeup such as a BB cream or tinted day cream, for example. This will leave your skin feeling fresh and nourished during the warmer days of spring and summer without weighing it down.

  • Eye Care

With the arrival of the first rays of the sun, we often tend to squint our eyes. The skin around your eyes is thin and sensitive, so give it some extra attention through a moisturizing eye cream. An eye cream helps to reduce fine lines, dark circles and puffiness.

  • Exfoliate for a radiant complexion

The winter period often does not do the skin any good, so spring is a good time to give your skin a little extra attention. Regularly exfoliating your face and body is definitely recommended in spring. This ensures that dead skin cells are removed, circulation is stimulated and your skin will shine again.
